Kanye West’s “Yeezy” line with Nike is one of the most successful sneaker collaborations of all-time. The producer turned rapper turned fashion designer managed to create some kicks which resonated with the sneakerhead community and can now fetch thousands of dollars on the secondary market.
Since his Nike collaboration, Kanye has moved on from the Swoosh and signed with adidas. While there was supposed to be information on his next sneaker line dropping in June, the month came and went without a peep from Kanye or adidas. And while that silence has continued up until now, images from a new adidas catalog for early 2015 features an image of what could be Kanye’s first sneaker model with adidas:
Now, this doesn’t mean that the runner-like shoe displayed here is officially Kanye’s new design. Adidas could have designed this using Kanye as its inspiration or Kanye may have had input on this design while not branding it as his official shoe.
One hint that this could be Ye’s first adidas model, though? The title above it is very fitting.
Because nothing says “hype” like a Kanye West-designed sneaker.
