On Thursday, Converse unveiled the very first sequel to its long-standing classic – the Chuck Taylor All Star.
Called the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II, the shoe thankfully doesn’t deviate much from its iconic forebearer. Instead, most of the improvements that make this a sequel to the Chuck Taylor are being made in the shoe’s interior. Chief among the changes that will be coming to the Chuck Taylor All Star II are the addition of Nike Lunarlon to the sockliner and the use of micro-suede liner for better breathability.
The added bells and whistles will unfortunately come with a larger price tag. The Chuck Taylor All Star II’s will sell for $75 as a high-top and $70 as a low-top. The sneaker will be released on July 28th.
A Chuck Taylor that looks like a Chuck Taylor but with some much-needed comfort? Sign us up for a couple of pairs.
