In case you hadn’t noticed, ESPN has been running segments for a new production called SportsCenter Featured where they took a more in-depth look at the career of the G.O.A.T., Michael Jordan, as he approaches his 50th birthday. Why is his 50th birthday significant? It’s not really, but any excuse to do a feature on Michael Jordan is fine by us.
Entitled, “Its Gotta Be The Shoes,” SportsCenter sat down with Jordan Brand Sports Marketing VP Howard White as he talked about Jordan’s influence on the game and what makes his shoes so popular still to this day. The video features some very cool sketches from the VP of innovation and design at Nike and the man responsible for creating the Jordan shoes, Tinker Hatfield, and gives viewers some insight on how MJ inspired the design of the iconic shoes.
