A temporary delay has been granted for Troy Davis according to Ben Jealous, President of NAACP. As soon as it was announced there was an enourmous eruption of cheers outside the courthouse. The official word is: “NAACP’s Ben Jealous: Lawyers reporting a temporary delay called for by the Supreme Court. A temporary reprieve, NOT a stay. Holding pattern.” A GA prison official on Troy Davis: ‘We are in a delay, waiting for a decision from the US Supreme Court. There has not been a reprieve. Mother of MacPhail (victim) told the US Supreme Court will decide on Troy Davis by 830PM, reports WTVM-TV.
