It didn’t take very long for Hollywood to lose it’s first bright star in 2014, as actor James Avery passed away today after complications from an illness. He was 65.
Avery was best known for his role as Uncle Phil on the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but you may not have realized that he was also the voice of a famous cartoon character in the ’80s and ’90s.
