It’s official, the waiting is over! The New Orleans Pelicans jerseys have just been revealed to the public via press conference and everyone is so… disappointed. It looks like they went with the minimalist approach with close to zero color or flashiness. Somewhat surprising considering the name change and entire re-branding process the team formerly known as Hornets underwent. This is the most underwhelming jersey release since the Miami Marlins decided to go weirdly colorful.

Given how cool some of the new gear at the team store is, one would think they would come out with a bang instead of releasing some 1990’s basketball video game-esque jerseys. How many people are going to think about NBA 2K2 when the Pelicans are featured on national television next season? They honestly look like the official team jersey for Lithuania or Montenegro. There are AYSO basketball teams that have more interesting jerseys than this. In any case, if you feel the need to order one, they’re available for pre-sale at the team’s store.

So since these jerseys undeniably suck, here are some of the best fan-created Pelicans jerseys.
