I will fully admit that I have never seen an episode of Dancing With The Stars, but I will openly confess that I did watch every episode of Saved By The Bell (I even watched the spin-offs Saved by the Bell: The College Years and Saved by the Bell: The New Class). So when I heard that Elizabeth Berkley returned to her Jessie Spano character in a dance skit on DWTS I had to examine further. Elizabeth’s professional acting pinnacle arrived was when she was an overwhelmed student who needed caffeine pills to keep up with her busy academic life and had a meltdown on Saved By The Bell. On DWTS she traded in her caffeine pills for “Jive Pills” and danced her ass off to “I’m So Excited.” I wonder where Elizabeth got those potent jive pills? Bud Selig is already investigating ARod as the supplier. It was a splendid dance routine, but I still appreciate her earlier dance work, like from the movie Showgirls.
WARNING: A freight train of 90’s nostalgia coming through.
