Before dominating the NFL, becoming a seven-time Super Bowl champion and three-time NFL MVP, future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady played college football for the Michigan Wolverines – and it looks like he’s paying homage to his college days with a recent business move.

This week, Tom Brady’s Brady Brand announced a new Michigan Wolverines apparel line which includes hats, sweats, and t-shirts. And to help promote the new line, Brady Brand is partnering with current Michigan staring quarterback J.J. McCarthy, who was featured in a video with the brand on Thursday morning.

“Defying the odds, he proved it to everyone,” McCarthy said in the video. “Even if you aren’t the biggest, fastest, strongest. You can be one of the best. … What greatness means to me is being the absolute best version of yourself so you can inspire others to be the best version of themself. If everyone strives to be the best they can be, the world is going to be a better place. That’s greatness to me.”

It’s pretty big news for both Tom Brady and the Wolverines, and the sports world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.
