It’s been almost three weeks since the Ohio State Buckeyes suffered a third-straight loss to their rival Michigan Wolverines, and Ohio State players are still feeling the hurt.
During a recent interview session, several Ohio State players expressed their continued disappointment following the gutting loss.
“It’s horrible. It’s just [expletive],” Ohio State cornerback Denzel Burke said according to Eleven Warriors. “We didn’t get the job done, but we’re just looking forward to finishing this season strong and finishing on a good note so that we can have momentum going into the 2024 season.”
“I’d be lying to you if I told you I don’t think about it a lot,” defensive end Jack Sawyer told Eleven Warriors. “When you work all year for one game and you fall short, that’s tough. Especially when it’s three years in a row. I wouldn’t necessarily say it haunts me, just because we don’t want to give them that satisfaction. But it hurts. There’s nothing you can do about it now and it just sucks.”
Offensive lineman Donovan Jackson claimed that he didn’t even want to go outside after the loss.
“I had to get pulled out of my room by my roommate Zen (Michalski). He was like, ‘Come on man, you’ve got to get out of your room, you’ve got to do something. You’ve got to at least look at the sun for a while.’”
It’s clear that the loss continues to sting the Buckeyes.
