The Ohio State Buckeyes routinely have one of the most dominant and talented rosters in the entire country, and they do that with strong recruiting at the high school level. On Sunday afternoon, the team landed yet another commitment from an elite highs school football prospect.

On Sunday, four-star safety Faheem Delane out of Olney, Maryland formally announced his commitment to the Ohio State Buckeyes, giving the team the No. 2 rated safety in the 2025 high school recruiting class.

Delane took to social media to announce his commitment to the Buckeyes.

Obviously, this is a pretty significant announcement for the Buckeyes, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media.

The addition of Delane gives the Buckeyes another commitment from an extraordinarily talented defensive back as he joins a recruiting class that already includes three top-50 players in the defensive backfield. Ohio State currently has commitments from Devin Sanchez and Na’eem Offord – the two top-rated cornerbacks in the class – as well as Faheem Delane, who is rated as the No. 4 cornerback in the class.

It’s an already-stacked class, but it has a chance to get even better for the Buckeyes, too, as Ohio State is also in pursuit of five-star safety Trey McNutt, who is the top safety in the class and is from nearby Cleveland, Ohio.
