Throughout her four-year college career with the Iowa Hawkeyes, Caitlin Clark emerged as perhaps the biggest women’s basketball superstar in the history of the game, earning herself a lot of young fans and inspiring girls across the country. And it sounds like that’s important to her.
During a recent interview with the Today Show, Caitlin Clark opened up about what it means to potentially inspire another generation of women’s basketball players.
“That’s the reason you do it,” Clark said during the interview with the Today Show.
“I think, you know, understanding how big of an impact that can have on a young girl’s life is super important. So I always try to make as much time as I can for them. And just to see them scream your name or have your jersey on — that’s something that never gets old.”
After a prolific college career, Clark will now have the chance to continue her dominance and superstardom at the professional level as she is set to become the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever.
We’ll have to see how her career goes and as she continues to inspire young girls across the country.
