Iowa Hawkeyes superstar Caitlin Clark has been so dominant and so electric throughout her college basketball career that she has made incredible plays seem commonplace. She’s been so good so consistently that it made it hard for Iowa Hawkeyes head coach Lisa Bluder to even think of one specific “wow” moment from Clark.
As Bluder explains, Clark has been almost too good for there to be any more surprises or “wow” moments.
“I mean, I don’t know if she could give us any more wow moments,” Lisa Bluder said according to On3. “She’s given us so many over the last four years. Whether it’s shooting incredible shots, passing the ball like no other. I’m not sure she could do anything yet that we haven’t seen.”
Still, Bluder was able to come up with something to point to as a “wow” moment that stood out: the buzzer-beater Caitlin Clark hit to lift her team to a 76-73 victory over Michigan State earlier this season.
“My last ‘oh wow’ moment, man, there’s been a lot,” Bluder said. “But Michigan State at home was a pretty big ‘oh wow’ moment for me when she hit that three at the buzzer again this year.”
We’ll have to see whether or not Clark can put together a few more “wow” moments in the NCAA Tournament.
