This was definitely a surprise call from Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz. A simple flea flicker was pulled off perfectly when Iowa played Minnesota on Saturday. Quarterback James Vandenberg took a pitch back and tossed a 47 yard pass to Jordan Cotton for a touchdown to give Iowa a 17-0 lead. Simple, effective, and well executed.
