Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce had some harsh words for his team after Sunday’s loss to the Carolina Panthers, and most people seem to think the comments were directed at star wide receiver Davante Adams.
Following Sunday’s blowout loss, Antonio Pierce called out his team for a lack of effort in his postgame press conference.
Pierce suggested that there were players making “business decisions” with a lack of effort on Sunday and he vowed that the team would made similar “business decisions” accordingly.
“I think there were definitely some individuals who made business decisions, and we’ll make business decisions going forward as well,” Pierce said.
Obviously, Pierce did not single out an individual player by name, but most people were pretty sure that he was talking about star wide receiver Davante Adams.
“Davante Adams is out of there,” one fan said on social media.
“Davante Adam’s is getting traded,” another added.
“Just trade, Davante Adams he doesn’t want to be there anymore,” another fan said.
“Hey Devante had been giving his all he’s just too old to be taking that kind of punishment for a team of mostly bums or players that are bums now and haven’t hit their full potential yet to say that in a less insulting manner,” another fan added.
“Adams is gone,” a fan wrote.
We’ll have to see whether or not it is ever confirmed that Pierce was talking about Adams.
