Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has made a significant change to his appearance this year, and star quarterback Patrick Mahomes indicates that his girlfriend Taylor Swift is the reason why he ultimately made the change.
For many years, Travis Kelce has styled his hair with a high and tight fade with the sides short and a bit longer on the top. But during training camp with the Kansas City Chiefs, the star tight end has grown his hair out and is wearing it quite a bit longer.
During a recent interview, Patrick Mahomes made it clear that he has been trying to get Kelce to grow his hair out for quite some time, and called out Taylor Swift a little bit for having enough power over him to make it happen almost immediately after they started dating.
“I’ve been trying to get him to grow his hair out and all of a sudden Taylor gets him to do it,” Mahomes said according to Billboard.
It makes sense that Kelce’s long-term girlfriend would have more sway than his teammate when it comes to his appearance, but it is still humours to hear Mahomes call out Swift like that.
Clearly, the two have a pretty good relationship if they can engage in this playful banter.
