Dallas Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons tied his career high of 2.5 sacks during a win over the Carolina Panthers last week.
That performance was even more impressive considering Parsons was seen vomiting on the sidelines throughout the game.
While Cowboys fans were worried about their defensive star, it appears that Parsons learned a lesson about the dangers of drinking ‘C4’ energy powder before an NFL game.
“I got some water to help put it down,” Parsons said postgame on Sunday, via The Athletic. “By the fifth play it felt like my heart was gonna jump out of my chest. I felt like I was about to explode. I’m never doing that [stuff] again.”
Parsons agreed with a fan on X, formerly known as Twitter, about only needing a half scoop of C4 before the game.
The Cowboys defeated the Panthers 33-10 in another disastrous outing for quarterback Bryce Young, the No. 1 overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Panthers. The win moved the Cowboys to 7-3 on the season, good for second place in the NFC East, trailing only the Philadelphia Eagles.
Dallas followed up that strong performance by downing the Washington Commanders in a division game on Thanksgiving day.
