Rugby is an extremely physical sport, where technique is everything, especially when it comes to hitting. One wrong move on a hit can cause serious damage, as was the case for Dylan Napa.
Napa’s Sydney Rooster’s faced off against Brisbane in NRL action on Saturday, where the prop delivered a vicious, illegal hit to Andrew McCullough – who was immediately knocked out.
I’m not a rugby expert like you guys are. Is that a 15-yard targeting penalty? pic.twitter.com/0BiH0a1yLG

The NPL didn’t appreciate the hit, suspending Napa for three weeks.
Thankfully, McCullough appears to be mostly OK. He sent out a tweet thanking everyone for sending him messages and called Napa “a quality guy” who “apologized numerous amount of times.”
Thanks to everyone for the amazing msgs I’m slowly getting back to each and everyone of you, Dylan has apologised numerous amount of times, he’s a quality guy and I will be alright🙏👍 have a fantastic Sunday!! Exciting times ahead

McCullough is a stand-up guy. Hopefully, he makes a quick recovery and gets back on the rugby pitch as soon as possible. As for Napa, he accepted his suspension and apologized profusely. That’s probably the best course of action of his part.
The hit was vicious but both parties appeared to have settled things the right way off the field.
