Obviously nothing can take away from the pain of absolutely self-destructing on Sunday of the Masters however, something inside tells me that Rory saw this on SportsCenter last night and cracked a smile. In the opening round of the 2011 Valero Texas Open PGA event, Kevin Na took a mere 16 strokes on the par-4 9th hole at the AT&T Oaks Course. He finished the round with an 8-over 80. Na spoke after his round regarding the debacle:
“I got done with the hole and I said [to my caddie], I think I made somewhere between a 10 and a 15, but I think it’s close to a 15.”
Na was all smiles by the time he nailed his 6 footer for a 16. “It’s all a blur,” he said. “One bad hole can basically shoot you out of the tournament, That’s what I just did.”
