In the most shocking news of the week, Floyd Mayweather Jr. recently resorted to name calling when asked if he would give Manny Pacquiao a rematch.

Mayweather said that he would consider giving Pacquiao another shot in a text to Stephen A. Smith after the unanimous decision victory on May 2nd, but has now changed his mind. He called Pacquiao a “sore loser” and a “coward” before going on to tell him to accept the loss and lose with grace in an interview with Jim Gray that will be premiere on SHOWTIME this Saturday night.

“Did I text Stephen A. Smith and say I will fight him again? Yeah, but I change my mind,” said Mayweather. “At this particular time, no, because he’s a sore loser and he’s a coward. If you lost, accept the loss and say, ‘Mayweather, you were the better fighter.”

Pacquiao, however, has much bigger problems to deal with than Mayweather. It’s common knowledge by now that Pacquiao fought on a torn right rotator cuff that he failed to disclose in the pre-fight questionnaire. He could be facing disciplinary action and even a perjury charge in addition to a really, really angry Mayweather for tainting his victory.
