This play happened in a recent game between two Texas high schools, Edinburgh North and Sharyland. When the kicker for Edinburgh North attempted a 44-yard field goal and came up short, Sean Landez of Sharyland reached over the back of the endzone and caught the ball, regained his balance, and took the return 109.9 yards to the house…the longest touchdown in the history of American football. Unbelievable.
Oh, and if that’s not good enough for you…Landez also had a 92 yard touchdown return in the game. For those of you who are bad at math…that’s 201.9 return yards in one game for the kid. Talk about a pretty decent day at the office.
