Unrecognizable actor who played Goldberg in ‘The Mighty Ducks’ arrested for public intoxication

Shaun Weiss, the actor who played the scene-stealing goalie Goldberg in ‘The Mighty Ducks’ films, has been arrested for public intoxication.

TMZ reports Weiss was arrested in California at 1 AM but wasn’t cited with a crime.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the 38-year-old was busted for public intoxication Saturday around 1 AM in Oroville, CA, about an hour north of Sacramento. We’re told cops cut him a break after he spent a few hours in the drunk tank — he was released and not cited.

It’s been a tough go for Weiss in recent years, in the last year he was arrested for meth possession and spent time in prison for stealing.

Weiss had a successful post-Ducks career appearing in numerous movies and TV Shows, including ‘Freaks and Geeks,’ but in the last couple years, he hasn’t added any new credits or acting gigs to his name.

It’s sad to see Weiss’ continued troubles. It’s not too late for him to turn around his life and beat his inner demons. It appears being a child star isn’t a great path to stability.
