The Dallas Stars have already made headlines, and the NHL season is only one game deep. During the Stars opening win against the Phoenix Coyotes, the jumbotron operator had a little fun at Manti Te’o’s expense. The camera which was being projected onto the jumbotron scrolled over an empty seat and they threw the caption “Manti Te’o’s girlfriend” right below it. Clever joke, but I’m sure it drew the ire of a few Irish fans who may have been in Dallas enjoying the game.
The Stars were also in the headlines a few weeks back for their quick witted jab via Twitter of Tony Romo.
