Last night, an episode of Top Chef aired which featured Rob Gronkowski.
For the episode, Gronk issued a sausage challenge and one of the chef-testants, George Pagonis, described himself as a huge Redskins fan who also really disliked the Patriots.
So, when Gronk went around to taste the various sausages that were prepared for him, Pagonis couldn’t help but inform Gronk of his football interests. Gronk had the best comeback.
“We beat your team when we played them two years ago.”
The Redskins and Pats actually played each other three years ago but that slight inaccuracy almost makes Gronk’s statement better. The Redskins are so inconsequential to Rob Gronkowski that he can’t even be bothered to remember the exact time that the Pats last stomped the Skins (the last time the two teams faced each other, the Pats won 34-27 and Gronkowski caught six passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns).

Showing that George’s football tastes wouldn’t influence him in the least as an impartial judge, Gronk would go on to award the challenge victory to the self-described Washington fan and New England hater.
