Pop megastar Taylor Swift has been all over the NFL for the past two years. The famous musician is dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Swift attended the Chiefs’ victory on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. She was seen celebrating in her suite as the Chiefs won on a last-second field goal from kicker Harrison Butker.
Swift also had a presence in games she didn’t attend.
NBC featured Swift during its broadcast Sunday night, even though she had no clear connection to either team on the field. Fans weren’t too happy with the decision.
“NBC showing the Taylor Swift graphic and the Chiefs aren’t even playing is actually crazy,” one fan wrote on X.
“NBC really showed 2 bears players w the last names taylor and swift and talked abt taylor swift,” another added.
One person wrote: “Really NBC???? You had to do a Taylor Swift reference with the Bears jerseys!?!?!”
“nbc making taylor swift with bears jerseys on snf is kinda crazy,” a fan added.
Swift mania is wearing thin on NFL fans across the league. It’s one thing when the Chiefs are playing, but there’s no any reason to shoehorn the pop star into games she’s not involved in. Hopefully broadcasts tone it down for the rest of the season.
