Throughout the offseason, Chicago Bears star wide receiver DJ Moore was a strong defender of starting quarterback Justin Fields as he continually said that he thought the team should stick with Fields as their starting quarterback, making it clear that he thought Fields was better than any rookie quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft, including Caleb Williams. But Fields was ultimately traded over the weekend, and it sounds like Moore understands the move.
After Justin Fields was officially traded from the Chicago Bears to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, DJ Moore took to social media to offer his blunt reaction to the news.
“Business is Business,” Moore said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

It’s understandable that Moore would want to play with Fields for another season as he had the best receiving season of his entire career while playing for Fields in 2022. Serving as the primary target for Fields, Moore racked up a career-high 1,364 receiving yards on the season in addition to a career-high eight touchdown receptions.
We’ll have to see whether or not Moore can keep putting up these big numbers with Caleb Williams as his starting quarterback next season.
