Aaron Rodgers has been on the New York Jets injury report several times throughout the season as a result of injuries to his ankle and knee. But it sounds like he has suffered a new injury.
This week, Aaron Rodgers has been added to the team’s injury report with a hamstring injury.
During his press conference this week, New York Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich confirmed that it is indeed a new injury for the future Hall of Fame quarterback.
“It is new,” Ulbrich said via SNY. “Something that kinda flared up this past game.”
Ulbrich went on to say that “maybe” the injury impacted Rodgers’ mobility during the team’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night.
But despite the injury, it doesn’t sound like the team expects the star quarterback to miss any time.
“They’re gonna assess it all week long, he’s gonna treat his butt off like he always does and don’t anticipate this affecting him in playing,” Ulbrich said.
Rodgers is obviously coming off of a season-ending Achilles injury that he suffered on his first drive of the season last year.
Over the years, Rodgers has been no stranger to playing through injuries, and it sounds like this weekend’s game against the New England Patriots will be no different.
We’ll have to see how he performs.
