The former Texas Tech head coach and so-called mad football scientist exerted a little frustration last weekend with a pummeling of Portland State, a week removed from back-to-back losses to Rutgers and Nevada. If the Cougars are able to keep up, this home game against Oregon could turn into an entertaining shootout, as Washington State averages over 500 passing yards per game. It’s a tricky one for the Ducks that appears simple on paper, but an energized crowd in Pullman could help make it closer than expected.
