Bebe Nogueira doesn’t always expect Toronto Raptors coach Dwane Casey to call his name, especially in the playoffs. That’s what happened on Saturday evening, and the Brazillian center just ran with it.
TSN’s Josh Lewenberg asked Bebe if he was shocked to play nine minutes in the Raptors 114-106 Game 1 victory over the Washington Wizards. The answer was yes, as Bebe said straight up “I wasn’t expecting to play.”
So, how did Bebe know he was going to play? "How I know? I never know. You know me. Probably guys watch me, I'm always there sitting on the bench just drinking coconut water and watching the game. And some days they say 'Lucas, go ahead' and I just go and play."

“I’m always there sitting on the bench just drinking coconut water and watching the game.”
Bebe is literally all of us. He’s living the life.
The crazy thing is Nogueira gave the Raptors good minutes despite not thinking he’d get into game action. This is one humble man.
