On Monday, Memphis Grizzlies walking, talking flagrant foul Matt Barnes took some time out of his day to address the fight that allegedly broke out between him and his former teammate Derek Fisher last month.
He took issue with the way that the New York Post originally framed the story.
Matt Barnes: "The New York Post is run by the New York Knicks, so it's obviously a way of trying to make me look like the bad guy."

And he criticized Derek Fisher for how he handled the situation afterwards as well.
Matt Barnes on Derek Fisher: "We're 2 grown men who should have handled 2 grown men's business, but he wanted to run and tell the cops & NBA

Barnes has predictably been taunted by fans over the tussle. The Grizzlies play against the Clippers, Barnes’ former team, on Monday and the forward doesn’t expect the jeering to stop tonight just because he used to play for Los Angeles.
Matt Barnes continued on fan reaction: "And there's a handful of people who want to chant, 'Derek Fisher,' so it will be interesting."

No matter what you think about Barnes’ take on the whole situation, he’s likely right that no other NBA fan base is going to let this one go anytime soon.
