Doing the good lord’s work, Major League Baseball compiled a clip of the 29 home runs that were hit on Opening Day.
Sure, Hanley Ramirez’s grand slam and Jimmy Rollins’ Dodgers-debut dinger got a lot of praise but the other 27 home runs that were blasted out of parks across the country on Monday were just as gorgeous.

Ironically, even though Ramirez’s home run may have created one of the bigger headline splashes of the day, according to ESPN’s Home Run Tracker, it was actually the shortest home run of the day with a distance of 350 feet.
