Oakland Athletics shortstop Eric Sogard got taken down by an airborne broken bat during yesterday’s A’s-Astros game, creating a pretty funny sequence for the Internets to enjoy. It’s always pretty scary to see a sharp piece of lumber flying through the air in the direction of a human being but, fortunately for Sogard, he avoided any serious injury.
