Heineken USA’s Chief Marketing Officer, Christian McMahan will be stepping down by the end of 2010. Sales in decline of 9.5% combined with a drastic drop in media spending seem to be the catalyst.
A few ideas for the next CMO;
– Don’t make a light beer that tastes awful and is still filling.
– Stick to your guns and stay classy. Play up the international allure.
– Learn from your literal brother in arms, “The Most Interesting Man In the World.” Stay Thirsty
– Don’t come in and try to re-define your brand, reinforce it.
– Fire Havas’ Euro RSCG
Time for a drink.
