Knicks guard and professional charmer J.R. Smith has been put on blast in social media recently, thanks to a rather direct approach to scoring with an 18-year-old high school student. Did that exchange come across as a bit shallow? Certainly. Which is why J.R. took it upon himself to release a cheat sheet for would-be athlete lovers — highlighting the importance of always being there for them (when they’re in town), accepting the fact they’re always busy (sometimes this involves other women), supporting their decisions and actions (this also may involve other women), and being their #1 Fan (which you definitely are, because nobody else could be). There’s one other quality J.R. forgot to mention: be good at spelling.
