They don’t call him Floyd “Money” Mayweather for nothing. Mayweather received a boxing record $41.5 million for his bout with Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez. While we all realize that $40 million is a ridiculous amount of money that we can’t even fathom, seeing it on a check really brings the point home of how rich Mayweather is.
After fees Mayweather receives a $40.87 million check. Not too shabby for a day’s work. However this is just the base pay and Mayweather stands to take home potentially $70 to $100 million after he receives his portion of pay-per-view buy and concessions. Because my left jab is a little weak, I guess I’ll just sit here and continue to play PowerBall.
