7. The Next Generation:
The best players in the NHL are almost all exclusively under the age of 28. Sidney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin, Steven Stamkos, Evgeni Malkin, Jonathan Toews, and John Tavares are all in the beginning or middle of their prime and they are about to be joined by the likes of some incredible talents who are on the verge of breaking out. This is going to give the NHL an embarrassment of young talent throughout the league.
Nathan MacKinnon, Ryan Strome, Ryan Murray, Seth Jones, and Jonathan Drouin will all likely make a big impact on their respective clubs this upcoming season. They will join an already stupid talented crop of youngsters in the league and will add a ton of excitement and intrigue this season.
