For the first time in his career Alfredsson has changed jerseys. The longtime Senators’ captain and keeper of pretty much every Senators’ record signed a one-year-deal in Detroit.
There was a bit of a dust-up over the move and the kicker is that Alfie will be playing in the Sens’ division thanks to realignment.
The reception for Alfredsson’s first game back in the Capital should be something to behold. Despite the small fracas when Alfredsson left, the Swede is still an absolute legend in Ottawa.
