BodyArmor has been busy building an impressive roster of sponsors and the sports drink brand made the most of its athletes by having them star in a pretty fantastic ad that celebrates the “evolution” of sports (or at least the evolution of fantastic sports fashion).
Every celebrity athlete spot is cast perfectly for the spot. Andrew Luck as a leather-helmet wearing football player almost makes too much sense (although Luck is not nearly as recognizable without his beard). Rob Gronkowski as a hockey goalie is the stuff of dreams. Skylar Diggins, Buster Posey, Richard Sherman and Mike Trout similarly brought their A-game. Still, nobody came close to touching the majesty of James Harden, who rocked two impossibly great looks for BodyArmor.
The sports ad game has just been raised. I’m not sure how this one is going to be topped.
