Steve Ballmer, or someone pretending to be Steve Ballmer, is doing really confusing things on Twitter.
The former Microsoft CEO, now owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, appeared to have tweeted that he purchased a four-percent stake in Twitter (which is worth $800 million). However, no one really knows if it’s actually Ballmer or if we’re all being duped.
First of all, the new account isn’t verified. That doesn’t necessarily confirm that it’s a fake account, but would the real Ballmer take the time out to tweet this at us common folk?
And does he seem like a guy who would make this his Twitter bio?
Probably not.
Whether it’s Ballmer or an imposter, it’s kind of a strange move either way.
