Mike Greenberg may have gone a little too far on the Mike & Mike radio show this Monday morning in trying to make his point that Tom Brady deserves the MVP. Greenberg referred to the Patriots other offensive players as “no namers” after having specifically named Deion Branch and Wes Welker. Listen for yourself:
Branch and Welker have over 1,000 catches, 10,000 yards and 50 TD’s between them. Welker has made several trips to the Pro Bowl and Branch was named Super Bowl MVP in 2005, not exactly unknown players. Brady may well win the MVP, and deservedly so, but Greenberg trying to sell that Tom has had no help from teammates all season is just ridiculous and offensive to the rest of the Patriots.
