Sergio Garcia pulled off the elusive “chip/putt” during the Wells Fargo Championship, and it was fantastic. Garcia found himself in a predicament when his ball landed 6 feet from the cup on the 3rd hole during his round on Friday. The path to the cup was littered with grass, small divots, soil and other protruding hurdles. PGA Tour rules do not allow players to remove soil on the green. Instead of risking running into one of the hurdles, Garcia pulled out a wedge and literally chipped the ball over the hurdles and directly into the cup.
