This is always a great thing to wake up to, I’ll be sure to keep my head up and eyes open on this morning’s jog.
CBS affiliate KCBS captured video of a mysterious missile launch off the coast of Southern California that lit up the Pacific sky yesterday evening. Military officials have refused to comment, with the exception of the Navy, who denied being behind the launch.
CBS showed the video to former Deputy Secretary of Defense Robert Ellsworth, who speculated that “It could be a test-firing of an intercontinental ballistic missile from a submarine… to demonstrate, mainly to Asia, that we can do that.”
Regardless of its purpose, he noted that it was a “big missile” and ‘spectacular.”
