Tom Brady Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports

Tom Brady doesn’t suit up on Sundays to hit the field these days, but the legendary quarterback is as involved in the league as ever. Brady not only calls games as part of the premier broadcast team for FOX but also joined the Las Vegas Raiders as part of the team’s ownership group.

Throughout the early part of the Raiders’ offseason, Brady’s first with the organization, there have been reports that he has an incredibly strong influence on the decisions made on the Raiders’ staffing, both for the sidelines and the front office.

According to Pro Football Talk: “Many believed (Ben) Johnson was the guy whom minority owner and majority juice-holder Tom Brady wanted the most.”

Unfortunately for Brady, Johnson signed on to be the head coach for the Chicago Bears. Now Brady will have to think on his feet and pivot to other candidates. Fans reacted to the news that Brady was back to square one on social media.

“Lane Kiffin? Id go Pete Carroll, maybe call some college guys,” one Raiders fan wrote on Twitter.

“Mike McCarthy. Or a trade for Kevin O’Connell,” one fan added.

“Whatever it is get him out the booth,” added one fan who is tired of listening to Brady call games, a role he has struggled with this season

It’ll be interesting to see what Brady and the Raiders decide to do.
