The Chicago Bears are hunting for a head coach who can maximize the potential of number one overall pick Caleb Williams. Williams and the Bears finished his rookie campaign with a paltry 5-12 record and the mid-season dismissal of head coach Matt Eberflus.
Now, the Bears are on the hunt for the next man in charge, and many are shocked by one emerging candidate.
According to SteelerNation, Arthur Smith is in Chicago’s crosshairs.
“The Bears have put in a request with the Steelers to interview OC Arthur Smith,” the outlet reported on Monday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“The Bears should not pass on this opportunity! He will be a perfect fit, I really really DO NOT want him to leave, but the Bears would truly benefit from this,” one Steelers fan wrote on Twitter sarcastically, as the Steelers offense has floundered in recent weeks.
“This is a perfect fit for Arthur Smith. He would be a great offensive mind at HC for Caleb Williams. Williams would have an MVP caliber 2nd year. So heart broken I’ll no longer be able to see toss plays to Naj every other play, a real tragedy,” another fan added facetiously.
“The Bears seen Caleb Williams would be capable of throwing for 4000 yards and decided they needed to hire someone to handicap him,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see how things unfold regarding Smith.
