Aaron Rodgers tenure with the New York Jets has been nothing like the swan song of Tom Brady in Tampa Bay.
Rodgers’s first season in the Big Apple was cut short in his first series on the field. He’s been able to play in his second, but it hasn’t produced much good. The Jets are 2-5 on the year, and just got some more tough news about their aging quarterback.
According to NFL insider Ari Meirov, Rodgers now has a hamstring injury to go along with a knee and ankle that have already been causing problems for him. “Jets say QB Aaron Rodgers is now also dealing with a hamstring injury in addition to his previous ankle and knee injuries,” Meirov tweeted early on Wednesday.
Fans reacted to the news online.
“Brady made it look all to easy to play at that age,” one fan said on Twitter.
“Bro is turning into Jim McMahon,” a fan added.
“The old man is falling apart,” another person said.
“Me after exactly one (1) session of pick up,” one fan added.
“I’m about the same age as Rodgers. I played touch football 3 weeks ago. I’m dealing with all of these things as well,” a fan joked.
It’s starting to feel like the arrangement between Rodgers and the Jets will be remembered as an unmitigated failure.
