Aaron Rodgers Syndication: The Record

The New York Jets have not gotten off to the start they imagined with a healthy Aaron Rodgers.

After stringing together consecutive wins, the Jets lost 10-9 at home on Sunday to the Denver Broncos to bring them to 2-2 on the season. The most shocking part of the loss was Rodgers getting outdueled by Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix, who only went 12-for-25 for 60 yards.

After the game Jets star wide receiver did not hold back in his assessment of his team.

“We played terrible,” Wilson said, according to NJ.com. “And when you play terrible, you deserve to lose. And we lost. It feels terrible, you know but we’ve got to move on and get ready for next week.”

Wilson took accountability for his mistakes, including a fumble on the Jets’ first possession of the game. “Very frustrating,” he said. “Especially knowing it’s going to rain, you’ve got to be ready for that. So to put it on the ground it’s very frustrating.”

Wilson also discussed his miscues with Rodgers and was just as frank regarding the lack of chemistry with his quarterback.

“[It was] me and him just seeing different things right there. Seeing different coverage and him wanting to get it out of his hands early, so I’ve got to adjust. I’ve got to adjust,” Wilson said.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Jets respond to the shocking loss. Their next chance to turn things around is Sunday in the NFL London game against the Minnesota Vikings.
