Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams were one of the best QB-WR combos of the 2010s. After Adams departed Green Bay for Las Vegas in a blockbuster trade two seasons ago, that meant the end for the incredible connection.

If Rodgers’ words this week are any indication, there’s a desire to link up again.

Rodgers is competing this week at the American Century Championship in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Rodgers waxed poetic over his former teammate and said he’d “love” to play with Adams again.

“I love Luke Getsy, he’s a fantastic coach. I love Davante. Can’t wait to play with him, again,” Rodgers said.

Rodgers and Adams playing again would likely mean that Adams would have to leave his current team versus the opposite. The New York Jets would have to bring Adams on somewhere, and they already do have a pretty loaded group at receiver. Adams is obviously tantalizing, but this possibility is probably for the future. Just… maybe not so immediate.

It’s an entertaining and, for some, maybe an intimidating prospect. For now though, it’s just that.
