Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has proven to be one of the best quarterbacks in all of football when healthy. But as the saying goes, the best ability is availability, which is something that Burrow has struggled with throughout his career.
Burrow, who of course missed the final seven games of the season last year, has struggled over the course of his four-year NFL career with staying on the field.
Two of the four seasons that Burrow has been in the league, he has had his year come to an end via a season-ending injury.
These kinds of injuries can obviously take a toll on you mentally, which Burrow admitted in a recent interview with Kelsey Conway, saying that he has even questioned his “football mortality”.
“Whenever the injuries start to stack up, your football mortality kind of comes into the back of your mind,” said Burrow to Conway. “So, that’s definitely something I’ve thought about and something I have had to fight through.”

It’s a fair thing for Burrow to consider in a game like football that is so incredibly taxing on your body. But at 27 years of age, he has to put these concerns behind him as he looks to make the Bengals contenders once again in a competitive AFC Conference.
The current odds suggest he will do just that. On the majority of sportsbooks, the Bengals have the third-best odds of winning the AFC Championship this coming season, only behind the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens.
