Rome Odunze has not been with the Chicago Bears for all that long, joining the team last Thursday after the Bears selected him with the No. 9 overall pick in the NFL Draft. But he is already feeling the hate in the rivalry with the Green Bay Packers.
During a recent appearance on the “Talk 2 Me Show,” Rome Odunze claimed that he already hates the Green Bay Packers.
“First day hating the Packers, I already can’t stand them. Every time I see Green, I nearly puke,” Odunze said.
But even more than his newfound hate for the Packers, Odunze is happy to be with the Bears.
“I definitely had the mindset to be happy wherever I went, but in the back of my mind [I knew] the Bears visit went tremendously well,” Odunze said, via the team’s official website.
“I came into this facility and the attitude and the effort that they put into my visit and into the conversations that we had was incredible. I knew when that phone call came in, it was from Illinois and that it was going to be the Bears, and I was super excited.”
It will certainly be interesting to see how Odunze performs in his first season with the team.
