The New York Jets of course struggled this past season, largely due to the devastating torn Achilles injury suffered by star quarterback Aaron Rodgers. But luckily, it sounds like Rodgers should be ready to roll in his second year in New York, according to Jets head coach Robert Saleh.
Rodgers famously decided to expedite his recovery process to try and return to play for the Jets last season. While that didn’t happen, it at least inspired confidence that he will return to full health for the upcoming 2024-25 season for the team.
Jets head coach Robert Saleh seems to be quite confident that Rodgers is going to be at 100 percent pretty early into the offseason. On Monday, he spoke quite optimistically about his star quarterback’s chances of being ready for spring OTA’s.
“I am expecting him to be available for spring,” Saleh told reporters. “You guys know OTA’s have become a 7-on-7 camp. So he should be able to do all of that stuff. As we get closer in the next couple of weeks, we’ll communicate with him.”

Considering the struggles the Jets offense had without Rodgers last season, it is certainly a welcome possibility to have Rodgers back and healthy for OTA’s here in the next couple of months.
The questions around Aaron Rodgers after this injury still remain. Will he be the same player coming off of a serious injury at 40 years of age? Will this affect his mobility, which has always been an added bonus in his game?
Only time will tell. But at the very least, this is a pretty positive statement from Saleh that should get Jets fans excited about the upcoming 2024-25 season.
