LIV Golf is set to have 13 players in the field for the upcoming Masters Tournament, where they will face off against some of the best that the PGA Tour has to offer. And it seems like the league is now very much playing up that narrative, using it as a promotion for one of its own upcoming events.
Many of their players had a ton of success in the 2023 Masters. Now that Jon Rahm is with LIV, they now have the entirety of the top 3 on the leaderboard for the 2023 Masters in their league.
This is something that LIV appears to be quite proud of, and is using to promote their upcoming LIV Miami event set to take place just before this year’s Masters.
LIV has created a fan initiative for LIV Miami, allowing fans to vote on whatever three golfers participating in the upcoming Masters they want to see in a pairing. The three golfers who receive the most votes will be a pairing for the opening round of LIV Miami.
Interesting fan initiative from @livgolf_league
You can vote on #TheMasters group you want to see for their event just before it, in April!

It is certainly a very interesting promotion that will not only cater to LIV fans, but also to golf fans who may not be all that interested in LIV but are interested in the upcoming Masters Tournament.
There are still obvious questions about whether or not there will be a LIV-PGA Tour merger in the future. But for the time being, LIV is still very clearly playing up the narrative that it is LIV versus the PGA Tour at the Masters. And that could help increase viewership for their own event.
